Think of Seedr as an online storage cloud, similar to Dropbox or OneDrive, but specifically for your torrent files. It allows you to easily download and share content with anyone.
You can use Seedr however you prefer, but personally, I like to maintain a clean PC. I still enjoy “sharing” and keeping both my upload and ratio high for anyone interested in downloading my super secret and highly valuable files.
For instance, I have a 1.8 GB Linux ISO file named Zorin OS Pro that I want to share with my tech-savvy brother using Seedr. Since my PC is sometimes offline, I simply add my torrent to my Seedr account to help “share” it.
- Create Torrent on my PC
- Log into Seedr
- Add Torrent link I just created
- Good to go!
You know, I honestly wish something like this had been around two decades ago. I believe the whole “marketed” aspect of torrenting would have been viewed in a much more positive light.
One of my favorite features is after seedr finishes download, I can right click a file and “share link” for people who don't want to use a torrent program… they now have a download link!

- Multiple queue download system
- Everything is encrypted
If you have a whole bunch of torrent files from a list that you want to download, you can certainly do that. Sometimes, I just dive in with magnet links and then take a break for a cup of coffee before coming back.
I almost forgot!
You can easily copy and paste a magnet link, then download something, and afterward, delete it to keep your account tidy while continuing to use Seedr!
Bonus is good, not great…
